We visited a friend we got to know in Sumatra and finally made it to beautiful Lisboa! Well, Portuguese cuisine isn’t exactly famous for their emphasis on meat-free restaurants. But similar to many major cities vegan choices are abundant (and are expanding continuously).
We were positively surprised that right opposite my mate’s home we found the Jardim dos Sentidos (Rua de Mae de Agua 3). Here, we enjoyed a buffet style dinner TWICE. Half of the grub here was vegan and finger licking good. Fantastic fresh juices. Reasonable prices.
The next day we had another establishment on the list: The Food Temple (Beco do Jasmim 18). We ran around in circles until we finally found it and then all seats were taken. So we strolled around in the neighborhood some more, zick-zacking the narrow streets and came back after an hour or so. And were so glad we did! Young, attentive, friendly and just a pleasant place to eat your way up and down the menu. So many choices!! Go wild, no regrets here!
There is more to come here so check in regularly here or simply follow!
